Liverpool FC Website Re-Design

Seeing as spend an enourmous amount of time on this site I thought I would have a quick blast at re-designing the Liverpool Football Club Homepage.
The current site feels out of date and crowded . This is not perfect by any means but gives a lot more room to the content and lets it breath. Also re-structured the grid layout to give a more cohesive flow to the content. Really wanted to focus on the content first and let the design flow around it. I also really wanted to avoid the cliched Premiership Football club designs as they all feel very generic and basically the same!
It would be great to hear any comments!!

Looks good, there’s a lot of information in there but yet it doesn’t look cluttered and is clean.
You’ve inspired me to do something similar for my own team’s website, the mighty Caley Thistle as it looks awful and would boost my portfolio at the moment.

Hey Ollie,
I totally agree with you that the site is extremely cluttered. There is way too much going on.
I like your redesign, very clean and i like the way the main headline is very clearly presented and not cramped.
Looking forward to the new season, hope Alonso stays though! BOUNCE!
